The Kos Municipality Committee for Tourism approved the allocation of 300,000 euros for the island’s 2016 promotion program.
The main aim of program is to restore the island’s reputation which was harmed by the migration influx.
Virgin markets
Special emphasis shall be put on enhancing public relations with tour operators, selected travel bloggers and journalists in virgin markets such as Lebanon, Azerbaijan, China.
The program includes various information diffusion activities, workshops, B2B (Business to Business), acquaintance trips (fam trips) as well as hosting journalists and tourism professionals from the abovementioned countries of interest.
