New cruises to Greek ports by Celestyal

Celestyal Cruises is working with more agents in the UK than ever before, as announced during the 2015 World Travel Market exhibition currently held in London.

The line was previously named Louis Cruises before it rebranded to Celestyal last year and now sells half of its cruises through the trade while, in prior years, only 40% of bookings were through agents.

Growing customer base

Speaking at World Travel Market, company’s spokesperson Frosso Zaroulea noted: “The number of passengers from the UK hasn’t increased but we are selling through the agent community more and that’s important. Through working more with agents we believe we will grow our customer base next year.”

She also announced the line’s first ever European winter itinerary, the seven-day ‘Three Continents’ cruise calls in Turkey, Israel and Egypt. The inaugural sailing will be in November 2017 on Celestyal Olympia.

New itinerary

Celestyal introduced a new itinerary with ports of call in Nafplion, Chania, and Mytilini in Athens while Nefeli, the newest ship in its fleet, will depart from Izmir on several dates during May of 2016.

To motivate more UK bookers, Celestyal offers all inclusive drink and shore excursion packages on all Greek and Turkey cruises for next year.

North America is the line’s largest source market, accounting for 30% of the bookings, followed by Latin America (22%) Greece and Turkey (21%) while the rest of Europe, including the UK market, makes up 19% of bookings.
