Thassos: a new Thomas Cook destination

The Greek island of Thassos is a new destination in 2016 Thomas Cook brochures

Twenty-five new hotels, 12 new itineraries and the Greek island of Thassos as a new destination are included in the 2016 Thomas Cook brochures.

The tour operator has launched eight short and mid-haul brochures and five e-brochures for all-inclusive, families, and adults for Summer 2016 holidays with the #ThomasCook and Airtours brands.

In all, more than 130 Thomas Cook Hotels & Resorts are on sale, including four new additions to the Thomas Cook exclusive hotels portfolio.

Thassos’ addition

Moreover, the company has added the Greek island of Thassos to its 2016 program, featuring three hotels and with two flights a week departing on Thomas Cook Airlines every Friday from London Gatwick and Manchester. Providing a traditional taste of Greece, the island offers the most incredible scenery along with fine sandy beaches. All properties are exclusive to Thomas Cook, including the all-new four-star plus SENTIDO Thassos Imperial Hotel & Resort set right on the beach and the Four Seasons Hotel, set in lush green pine forests and top rated on TripAdvisor.

Following customer feedback, Thomas Cook has also added 25 properties to its summer program across a range of destinations, including Sharm el Sheikh, Turkey, Ibiza, Skiathos, Parga, Kefalonia, Crete, and Corfu in Greece and the Neapolitan Riviera in Italy.

Ideal for families

Adding to Thomas Cook’s current exclusive SENTIDO range are three more properties including the SENTIDO Flora Garden in Antalya, Turkey, SENTIDO Royal Park in Kos, and the SENTIDO Thassos Imperial on Thassos. Furthermore, there have also been eight new Aquamania properties added, including the Rixos Premium Belek in Antalya, Turkey, ideal for families with water babies.

At the same time, Thomas Cook Airlines will launch two flights a week to both Los Angeles (Monday and Saturday) and Boston (Monday and Friday) from Manchester, from May 2016.

New routes

These are the only routes to these US cities from outside London, building on the airlines’ new routes to New York (JFK) and Miami which started with inaugural flights in May 2015 on the newly refurbished A330 fleet displaying the airline’s new livery.

As Thomas Cook UK & Ireland’s new commercial director, Chris Mottershead, noted: “We have added 25 brand new properties to our program across a range of popular destinations which will cater for all types of holidays. We’ve also listened to feedback from our customers and have dropped a number of properties from our program which didn’t come up to scratch with our quality expectations to reflect our on-going commitment to offer our customers a holiday of the highest quality, whatever their budget. We’re really excited to launch our holidays for next summer which offers families, couples and adult groups alike a fantastic choice of destinations both near and far.”
